Why Most Proposals Lose

You find opportunities. You have the capabilities. But your proposals aren't winning. Here's why.

X

Generic Responses

Copy-paste proposals that don't address the specific requirements or evaluation criteria.

X

Missing Compliance

Failing to answer every single requirement in the RFP - even one miss can disqualify you.

X

Weak Discriminators

Not clearly explaining why the government should choose YOU over the competition.

X

Poor Past Performance

Not presenting your experience in a way that proves you can deliver on THIS contract.

All Proposal Types Covered

From your first simplified acquisition to complex full & open competitions

Writing to Win: Understanding the Government's Evaluation Criteria

If you don't understand how your proposal will be evaluated, you're writing blind. This session breaks down Section M so you can structure your responses around what evaluators are actually scoring - not what you think they want to see.

Michele is the Founder and Managing Partner of Cavalry Consulting LLC, a Woman Owned Small Business specializing in proposal development, capture management, and strategic marketing for government contractors. With nearly two decades of experience, Michele and her team have helped clients win more than $55 billion in contract capacity, maintaining a win rate consistently above 90% over Cavalry's 10-year history. A 2019 APMP "40 Under 40" honoree, she speaks nationally on proposal strategy and what it takes to compete and win across federal, state, and local agencies.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I can't attend live on February 28th?
You'll get full recording access as a Pro member. However, the live workshops and feedback sessions are significantly more valuable. We recommend attending live if at all possible.
I've never written a proposal before. Is this too advanced?
No! We start with fundamentals and build up. Session 1 covers the basics, and we dedicate time to simplified acquisitions (easier proposals) before moving to more complex RFPs. You'll learn the right way from the start.
What do I need to prepare before the Surge?
Bring a draft capability statement if you have one, your NAICS codes, and ideally 2-3 past projects you could use as past performance. We'll send detailed prep instructions after you join Pro.
Will you review my actual proposal during the Surge?
We'll do live reviews and provide feedback during the workshops. You'll build components of a real proposal during the session and get coaching on your work.
Is my Pro membership just for the Surge?
No - Pro membership includes ongoing access to the searchable contract database, monthly training sessions, community support, and all future Surge recordings. The February 28th Surge is just the beginning.
